Effective the evening of September 5, 2003, the following changes will be made to existing Heating Degree Days (HDD) Weather futures and options.

1. The following GLOBEX group codes are being consolidated:

a. Monthly HDD futures and options for five cities are being consolidated into

    one GLOBEX group

b. Three Seasonal HDD futures and options cities are being consolidated into

    one GLOBEX group.

2. The Monthly HDD Options Strike Price Listing Rules are being greatly reduced for both block trading. (Clearing as well as on GLOBEX.)

a. All Monthly HDD Options strikes for months NOV 03’ DEC 03’ JAN 04’     

    FEB 04’ MAR 04’ and APR 04’ will be completely de-listed from Clearing, and

    GLOBEX.

b. All Monthly HDD Options strikes for months SEP 03’ and OCT 03’ that are

    outside the range of ATM +/- 100-points will be de-listed from Clearing and

    GLOBEX.

c. All OCT 03’ Monthly HDD Options strikes that are inside the range of ATM

    +/- 100 that do not end with “50” or “100” will be de-listed from Clearing, and

    GLOBEX.

d. Going forward, all Seasonal and Monthly HDD futures and options will be

    kept in sync on Clearing, and GLOBEX. GLOBEX will no longer list a subset

    of HDD options.
